Bolivar Hydrogen Project

ICE Engineering & Construction  was engaged by Wasco Australia Pty Ltd to deliver Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) works for the Bolivar Hydrogen Project. This scope involved the installation of electrical systems, cabling, instrumentation, and transformers to support the new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and hydrogen product facility.

Despite delays caused by engineering design issues and late free-issue equipment, ICE Engineering & Construction successfully completed the works within the revised timeframe. A small, highly skilled team delivered the project to a high standard, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS3000 and supporting the commissioning process. This project highlights ICE Engineering & Construction’s capability to operate within the emerging hydrogen sector while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality.

Scope of Works Included:

  • Installation of cable containment and support systems.
  • Installation of communication and instrumentation cables.
  • Installation of LV, MV, and HV cables.
  • Installation of earth grid and earthing system.
  • Installation of instrumentation and instrument tubing.
  • Installation of electrical equipment and panels.
  • Installation of 11kV transformers.
  • Installation of a 560Vac Battery Storage System.
  • Compliance review of electrical installation against AS/NZS3000.
  • Testing and commissioning of all installed systems
